A safari from Cape Town in just 2 days is ideal for those short on time and who may not make it to Kruger Park. Alternatively, if you have or plan to visit Kruger, this game lodge provides a beautiful contrast to the huge Kruger, making this 2-day tour ideal for everybody. With our door-to-door pickup service and a game ranger to lead you, this is the easiest and most comfortable way to get out of Cape Town into the African Bush giving you the opportunity to see Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, and a lot lot more! An overnight stay in a stunning wood lodge under the clear African skies is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will help ensure you never forget your 2-day safari from Cape Town with Bazbus!


  • Trek through the bush with a game ranger leader and see Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, Hippos, Giraffes, and more all in their natural habitat
  • Sleep overnight in a stunning wooden lodge underneath the clear African skies listening to the sounds of nature surrounding you
  • Go on 2 safari drives. An afternoon/late evening drive allowing you to take in the sunset, and an early morning drive to see the animals full of energy starting their day

Day 1:

5:30am - 6:00am

Depart Cape Town - we pick up directly from hostels and hotels for safety and comfort. If staying in an Airbnb just email us. Your booking confirmation (ticket) will show you your exact pick-up time (depends on where you are staying!)

7:00am - 11:00am

Sit back and relax as we drive through some of the most famous towns in South Africa, briefly passing through Stellenbosch and Hermanus where you will be able to stretch your legs and get some fresh air.

11:00am - 11:20am

A snack/brunch stop at a local café...don't forget our drivers are local experts and will keep you entertained along the way with insights into the local people and towns. Food is not included here.

11:20am - 1:50pm

Complete the drive to the Game Lodge

1:50pm - 4:00pm

Check-in to the lodge and maybe freshen up or even take a nap before the afternoon’s activities. The restaurant in the lodge serves lunch until 4pm if you feel like eating.

4:00pm - 6:15pm

Safari Time! Your expert game ranger will lead you through the afternoon on the lookout for Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, Giraffes and even more, with expert advice along the way. The tour lasts around 2 hours and finishes as the sunsets in the wilderness for some breathtaking scenery.

6:30pm 'til next day!

Dinner and Drinks Time! Enjoy a delicious 3 course dinner in the Serengeti’s Restaurant, and maybe sit back and relax and have a drink or 2. Spend the night in a beautiful wooden chalet under the clear African skies listening to the animals calls in the night for a once in a lifetime experience.

Day 2

06:45am - 7:00am

Early morning tea/coffee before you start you morning safari.

07:00am -

Your Game Range Leader will guide you through the range once again where hopefully you can see any animals you missed the day before, or maybe even get different perspectives of the animals as they start their day full of energy!

10:00am - 11:00am

After all that animal spotting, Enjoy a delicious breakfast, with a choice between a local option and an international option.

11:00am - 3:00pm

Spend the day at the pool in the game lodge or relax in a hammock and read a book or take a snooze. Get some lunch before the bus departs back to Cape Town!

3:30pm - 10:00pm

Bus Departs back to Cape Town and hopefully you catch the sunset over the ocean on the coastal roads. We will drop you off at the hotel or hostel of your choice in Cape Town!
